In the memoir, Professor Anisuzzaman said, Muzaffer had told me that he is loyal to three F- Faith, Family and Fatherland. He used to pray regularly since his student life. His dream to build an ideal society came from his utmost believe on religion. His higher study in western countries accelerated the phase of his goal. He was too generous. He was too punctual about the timing of his prayer. However, if he missed any prayer due to his responsibility he performed it later as Kwaja. He was not the only a believer of Muslim fraternity, but also in the fraternity among the world citizen. For a time he was very strong in his country of patriotism. Later, he seemed to adapt international beliefs. I have hardly seen responsible for people like him. He was too caring to his parents and family.
The speaker said the society will advance if we have honest, determined and democratic minded people like Prof. Muzaffer Ahmad. People will remember Professor Muzaffer Ahmad forever, for his contribution and relentless efforts to ensure people rights, establishing a fair society, and making a lifetime effort with the dream to make a happy and prosperous Bangladesh. Prof. Ahmad is not only an economist or teacher but also an activist who relentlessly fight for protecting the environment, ensuring good governance, human rights and corruption-free society. His struggle would also inspire the youth and show the direction to the future generation. I believe, an honest and patriotic man like him will be the source of inspiration for all. He was a lively, energetic, and inspirational source. The hollowness that has created through his departure will not ever be fulfilled.
At the time, the documentary on Professor Muzaffer Ahmad’s work and life was displayed. Dilip Kumar Sarkar of Sujan gave the closing remarks.
